The basic daily rate of $100/day includes the following innsitter services:

• Day to day property management (laundry, garbage, cleaning).
• Supervision of housekeeping staff and maintenance of the common areas
• Care and maintenance of plants and any pets and/or livestock
• Taking and processing reservations by phone or on-line
• Greeting visitors and responding to queries.
• Maintaining a daily log of activities, messages, etc .

NOTE: For small properties with no staff and with an average room rates under $120, I will include meal preparation, and housekeeping for up to two rooms in this basic rate.

For most properties with an average room rate in excess of $120, additional fees, based on occupancy are charged to cover the following hospitality services:

• Guest check in and out in the manner requested by the innkeeper
• Concierge services including dinner reservations, sightseeing/activities recommendations, directions.
• Shopping, meal planning and preparation, including snacks and wine service, if provided. ( Meals will be prepared to reflect the individual style of each inn. *)
• Housekeeping duties, if required.

* Since I know that many innkeepers produce their own cookbooks and have a repertoire of “signature dishes”, I will be delighted to produce these. If, on the other hand, an innkeeper wishes me to bring my own ideas and recipes, I am also open to that. (My cooking style reflects a preference to use fresh, local, and seasonal produce.)

Travel Costs: I am happy to travel anywhere within the U.S. If your property is located in the Midwest, I will travel by road, and generally charge the current mileage rate. I also offer special travel rates for N. Californian properties since my daughter lives in CA.
